Abstract:
On the basis of experimental studies, it is shown that the rate of turbulent combustion of ASD-1 aluminum in air increases by a factor of 1.2–1.3 and the geometric parameters of the flame change under the action of a 0.9 kV electric field. These effects are explained. The positive result is obtained under the conditions of a developed turbulent flow and can serve as a basis for practical recommendations on the intensification and control of ignition and combustion processes under laboratory conditions (a laminar flow) and in power installations.
