Abstract: Results of an experimental study of vibrational combustion of hydrogen in an ejected air flow in quartz tubes are described. The study is performed with the use of an optical system that allows registering intensity of luminescence of OH radicals in the hydrogen plume. Local heat-release zones are found on the basis of measurement results.

Keywords: hydrogen, vibrational combustion, ejected air flow, optical measurement technique.
