Abstract:
A model for the ignition of a reactive condensed material by a powerful radiation pulse from a high-temperature region through a transition layer formed at the surface of the material is proposed. The process is studied numerically with variation in the parameters of the transition layer and for different pulse durations. The growth of the transition layer and variations in the temperature of the material and transition layer are analyzed, and the limiting ignition regimes are determined.
