Abstract:
Critical conditions for detonation initiation in pressed TNT by aluminum and copper impactors of different thicknesses are used to model its combustion under shock compression. Numerical values of the constants included in the model are determined by comparing experimental results with theoretical dependences, which describe the behavior of the extinction curve separating the regions of initiation and failure of TNT detonation. The theoretical expressions are obtained using the theory of unsteady combustion of powders. At a pressure of 6 GPa, the dependence of the burning rate on pressure has a break.
