Abstract: Electrode materials with platinum nanoparticles on combined polymer-carbon matrix-carriers had been formed. Model tests of hydrogen-air fuel cells with varying loading and sizes of platinum nanoparticles had been carried out. It was found that the maximum value of specific power (64 mW/cm$^2$) and current density (122-128 mA/cm$^2$) are achieved when the catalyst load was 0.32 mg/cm$^2$ and the nanoparticle size was 2-4 nm.

Keywords: platinum nanoparticles, volt- and watt-ampere characteristics, current density, specific power.
