Casson invariant for a series of 3-manifolds

Abstract: An explicit formula is obtained for the calculation of the Casson invariant values for an infinite series of closed 3-manifolds. These manifolds can be obtained as rational surgeries of a 3-sphere along a twisted chain link. For some specific manifolds values of the Casson invariant are calculated.
