Abstract:
The paper contains a solution of heat and the mass transfer problem of hot gas jets with
fluid. The problem is presented as two interdependent problems: a problem of the heat
and mass transfer of a two-phase (gas-fluid) flow and a hydrodynamic problem. Processes
of the heat and mass transfer in two-phase flows happen in interfaces of phases. Profiles
of rates of the heat and mass transfer versus properties of phases and mode parameters
are described with the Nusselt criterion equation. The hydrodynamic problem is solved by
numerical integrating of a set of equations of the continuity, the Navier – Stokes equations and the energy equations using a method of a control volume. The predicted results are compared with the experimental data.
