History of powder metallurgy development and its application in modern technologies

Abstract: The article explains the term "powder metallurgy" and defines the main differences from the classical methods of metallurgy. Historical aspects of the development of powder metallurgy technologies since ancient times are described. The main technological methods of powder metallurgy and their application for the production of modern products are presented. The main areas of application of various types of products of modern powder metallurgy are listed.
