Approximate Study of a Single Channel Service System hy the Normalization Method

Abstract: A single-channel service system without queues is described. The normalization method [1] is employed for approximate estimation of the avarage number of customers served and those whom the service was refused per time unit in steady state with Poisson input flux and an arbitrary law for service time distribution. For an illustrative of service time distribution an approximate calculation of variance in the number of customers at the system outputs is given.
