Dynamic races and constant faults in combinational circuits

Abstract: The paper proposes an analytical determination of conditions for generation of a false pulse of dynamic state at the output of a combinational circuit. The relation between constant faults and conditions for generation of dynamic races is shown. A method for detection of suspected faults is proposed which result in a false pulse of a dynamic race at the output of the circuit.
