Abstract:
To locate a faulty unit, a sequential diagnostic procedure is used. Two criteria are proposed for selection of a sequence of feeding independence tests. The algorithms for ordering the tests using these criteria reduce the amount of data to be stored by reducing the amount of data necessary for diagnosis of single faults (or subsets of faults in one unit). An example is cited illustrating the potential of the proposed technique in reducint the amount of data in ternary tables of fault functions.
