Use of Boltzmann-like equations in modeling of social events in resource allocation (reallocation)

Abstract: The paper is concerned with a mathematical model for resource allocation and exchange between elements of the same type and conditions are found under which solution of the associated integro-differential equation is a Pareto-like equation. A model example are results of a specific sociological study of the resource aspects of philately, viz. assembly of collections. The size and price distribution densities are found to be Pareto.
