Abstract:
Equations are derived for computing the pressures and flows in a system of an input throttle and a vortex valve and characteristics of this system are analyzed. The findings are shown to be instrumental in control of vortex valves with low pressures in the control channel. Conditions are considered for optimizing the characteristics of vortex valves with a throttled input channels with different kinds (turbulent or laminar) of flow in the input throttle.
