Developing Systems

Guaranteed estimates of programmed control performance and control with complete information in economic systems

A. G. Mikhaylov, V. V. Tokarev

Moscow

Abstract: The paper takes over from [1] the discussion of the principle of the best guaranteed result in control under uncertainties. In the maximin and minimax problems formulated the disturbances affect the set of feasible controls as well as the performance criterion. Three control techniques are compared which differ in information on disturbances necessary for implementing the control: (1) programmed control; (2) programmed control with additional information; and (3) control with complete information. The comparison is made in terms of the maximal guaranteed estimate of the performance criterion, from actual values of the criterion with various values of the disturbance, and from the possibility of observing the conditions of control feasibility.
