Asymptotic analysis of the throughput of multiprocessor systems with common buses

Abstract: A closed-loop network model of a multiprocessor system with common buses is considered. Explicit asymptotic formulae are obtained for the mean number of active processors. Numerical examples are provided which show that the accuracy of the resultant approximations increases with the number of system components.
