Developing Systems

Using turnpike properties of a nonstationary economy model for evaluating the impact of technological change

V. N. Kokarev

Moscow

Abstract: Turnpike properties are analyzed of a dynamic nonstationary model of an economy. A technique which does not call for a heavy computer load in evaluating the impact made by large technological changes and has been earlier proposed for a model with constant factors is extended to the case of slowly changing technical standards. In the method the values are compared of an economic criterion computed by a finite formula of for turnpike paths for original and changed standards.
