Abstract:
A new method is suggested for description of relations in the criteria! space whe reby each relation is associated with a family of Boolean functions (of logical form). The tools of Boolean algebra are employed for statement and solution of most various problems in multi-criterial analysis. The first instalment of the paper solves the problem of computing the mean number of elements non-inferior in terms of any coordinate relation.
