Abstract:
The structure of pointwise degenerate fourth-order systems was described. This description seems to be timely in view of the possibility of damping the linear autonomous system by the degeneration controller, as well as applications to other problems of control. The relation between the properties of relative controllability and relative null-controllability of the linear autonomous delay systems was examined. For the fifth-order single-delay systems, the criteria for relative controllability and relative null-controllability were proved to coincide. An example was presented of a relatively null-controllable ninth-order system which is not relatively controllable.
