On constructing a metric on a dominating cone. I

Abstract: The notion of a pseudometric on a dominating cone is introduced, which allows to compare elements of the cone quantitatively. This metric is a generalization of the metric in pseudoeuclidean spaces in the case when the pseudoball is not a hyperboloid but a convex subset with a certain stability property with respect to the dominating cone.
